So a lore expansion chapter. One that begins with feet. Very interesting. It feels like we're in a transitory stage of the story, ready to embark onto a new conflict, but as of right now, we're setting the stage.

Even though this is translated into English, the verbal motif of "machines" keeps cropping up, suggesting the importance of it. This feels like a callback to Chapter 3 when Goroshky was experimenting with his inventory, knowing he couldn't store living beings in it, but then questioning what counts as a living being in the first place. With the paneling, it seems to suggest that Goroshky is going to experiment on the bodies, perhaps find a way to use magic to stitch inventory boxes of dead Onmir onto his own to expand his inventory. How that would prove useful to him, I cannot conceive of that right now.

It's not necessarily a power buff, but a resupply moment. Since Goroshky is taking the items off of dead Onmir, he should be better equipped in the near future for any conflict that may occur. The way he used potions against Shamil in "Chapter 7: Looking with Aggressive Eyes" was brilliant.

Aside from my hypotheses, the art is once again exquisite. My favorite panel is Goroshky standing there, saying "You're right. We are an anomaly." The way his cloak's beady white eyes glance in Lord Brawl's direction is chilling. Thank you, Author, for the chapter. I will happily wait once again for another. For now, I'll continue on with my life while analyzing the story in my off-time.
